Jimmy Shanahan is an associate with Shanahan & Shanahan LLP and is licensed to practice in Indiana and Illinois. His focus is on municipal finance and he has experience working on financings for the schools, towns, counties, wastewater reclamation districts, water and sanitary districts, park districts and the State of Illinois. He has also worked with entities to take advantage of the new funding opportunities created under the provisions of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009. Specifically he has assisted clients in the issuance of Build America Bonds, Qualified School Construction Bonds and with economic development using stimulus dollars under the Recovery Zone Program.

Born and raised in Rushville, Indiana, he enjoys distance running, is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Indiana State and Illinois State Bar Associations, and is also an active member of several civic and charitable organizations.
